Metal primer undercoat sealer surfacer primary use is to protect metal & steel substrates, promote adhesion and provide better paint levels when refinishing and/or touching up damaged paint. When repairing Paint Scratches & chipped paint primer need only applied to the areas where bare metal is showing and should not be applied to other areas of the scratched paint layers.
We recommend you apply our touch up paint stop rust product if paints have been removed from the metal panel before applying primer. Metal panels will continue to rust under the primer undercoat sealer if they are not treated within one hour of being bare. Note: Do Not apply metal primer surfacer to bare plastic, use plastic primer.
