How To Use Your Touch-up Paint Kit
Product Repair Procedure: Your car is painted in layers from the factory so when your paint is scratched there are different levels of damage occur in a single impact.
The two main types of scratches that occur in non-metallic paint.
The first type of scratch is light brushed scratches where only the paint color layer is scratched but not pierced. These types of scratches are light and whitish-looking. These types of scratches may be removed using the blemish remover or quick-cut polish.
The second type of scratches are deep and/or fully discolored where either bare metal or bare plastic is visible.
Where primers & color layers that are completely removed and either bare metal or bare plastic are exposed the appropriate paint layer needs to be applied in the same way the factory formula is sprayed. Note: If metal has been left bare without any paints for more than 2 hours we recommend you apply stop rust treatment before applying metal primer undercoat.
